Honeywell Home THR99C3013 Kit

While the reviews are a bit of a mixed bag, the Honeywell Home THR99C3013 evohome Smart WiFi Thermostat Kit comes with a wide range of features that make it a popular choice among homeowners. One of this models main features is its WiFi connectivity. This allows users to control the temperature in their residence remotely through the Honeywell App that works with a Smartphone or Tablet. This means that users can adjust the temperature from anywhere, at any time, providing them with greater flexibility and convenience. Additionally, the thermostat offers zoning capabilities [as many as twelve], which means that users can control the temperature in each room independently.

The colour digital display is touch screen, and the user interface [UI] is very easy to use, offering a full readout of useful information, from the most basic, to more complex settings. Compatibility with some of the most well known controllers, such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT is enabled with this model.

Saving money

There are some buyers of the THR99C3013 that claim it has cut their energy bill down to half of what it was before they installed this unit. This may be true, but this will not be the case with every home. The potential is there, but it will take some time for unit, and also the user to figure out the best settings in order to start working more smartly and efficiently enough to begin using less energy and saving money. Shouldn’t take that long.

Realistic Expectations

And a sensible estimate when it comes to energy saving would be up to a quarter of what you are currently using. It may be more, but its not a good idea to expect too much and end up feeling let down. It could be less if your system is already quite finely tuned to suit your lifestyle and energy using habits.

3100 and 313 models

Differences between this model and the THR99C3100. I believe the only differences between the two models is that the THR99C3013 comes as a kit, with the unit itself, Boiler Relay and Wireless Control Radiator Heads [TRV’s]. Whereas the 3100 comes with the control unit only. Both models are popular in the UK, Italy and Germany.
